Great Britain's Charley Hull sits just three shots off the lead after the opening round of the women's golf tournament at the Olympic Games.

Great Britain's Charley Hull has recorded a first-round 68 in the women's golf tournament at the Olympic Games.

The 20-year-old hit four birdies and just one bogey to sit in a tie for seventh place after Wednesday's play.

British compatriot Catriona Matthew also enjoyed a solid day as she reached the end of her round in 26th position after a level-par round of 71.

Thailand's Ariya Jutanugarn leads the way after shooting a 65 with South Korean pair Park Inbee and Kim Sei-Young one shot adrift in second.
