Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte rejects club chairman Daniel Levy's proposal to sign Real Madrid attacker Eden Hazard, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has reportedly rejected club chairman Daniel Levy's proposal to bring Real Madrid attacker Eden Hazard to North London.

Hazard is believed to be available for transfer during the January window, with the Belgium international struggling to make his mark for Los Blancos since arriving from Chelsea.

According to Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda, Levy is keen to bring the 30-year-old back to the Premier League, but Conte does not believe that the Belgian would suit the capital club, with the Italian more interested in Hazard's teammate Gareth Bale.

"Daniel Levy would like to take a Real Madrid player who is always injured," Inda told El Chiringuito. "He wanted to sign Eden Hazard, but Conte has told him 'no' because he knows him from when he trained at Chelsea and says that he has little intensity and that he is not a very hard worker.

"The most striking thing is the player that Conte has asked Levy to take him to London. He is Gareth Bale. Bale ends his contract at the end of the season, but in winter he would not be free."

Hazard, who continues to be linked with both Juventus and Newcastle United, has registered one assist and zero goals in 11 appearances for Carlo Ancelotti's side this season.
