Manor Solomon is reportedly set to return from injury when Tottenham Hotspur host Manchester City in the FA Cup at the end of January, after over three months out.

Tottenham Hotspur forward Manor Solomon has reportedly received a boost in his hopes of returning from a knee injury.

The Israeli has been absent since picking up a meniscus injury in his right knee in training back in early October.

That required Solomon to undergo surgery, and he has been one of the many Spurs players absent with injury over the past few months.

Soon after, both James Maddison and Micky van de Ven suffered injuries which ruled them out for the rest of year, while Destiny Udogie was also briefly sidelined.

However, the Evening Standard claims that Solomon is hopeful of returning in time for Spurs' FA Cup tie with Manchester City in just under three weeks' time.

A return for the 24-year-old would be perfectly timed for Ange Postecoglou, who has recently just lost influential attacker Heung-min Son to the Asia Cup.

With Maddison not yet back, and Ivan Perisic also out for the season, Solomon's return will be eagerly awaited, with Spurs down to the barebones in attack.

Outside of current starting trio Richarlison, Dejan Kulusevski and Brennan Johnson, Postecoglou has no other senior options in attack to choose from.

While the Premier League clash with Manchester United on Sunday will come too soon for Solomon, facing the Red Devils' rivals Man City appears to be a more realistic date for a return.

Solomon made three starts in succession earlier in the season for Spurs, and starred in their 5-2 win away at Burnley, setting up two of Son's goals in the rout at Turf Moor.

The recent recruit has not featured though since coming on as a substitute in the dramatic and controversial 2-1 win over Liverpool in September.

That was also to the detriment of his national side, as Israeli missed out on an automatic spot at Euro 2024, when their final four qualifiers were all played in a 10-day spell in November.

Solomon was signed on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk over the summer after an impressive season-long-loan at fellow London-club Fulham last season.
