Massimiliano Allegri admits that he does not know whether or not Paul Pogba will leave Juventus this summer, amid reports that he is close to joining Manchester United.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has admitted that he is unsure where Paul Pogba's future lies amid reports of Manchester United's interest.

The Premier League club, who released Pogba for free in 2012, are believed to be mulling over a world-record £100m bid for the France international.

The Red Devils have reportedly had an £85m offer rejected by the Italian giants, but rumours suggest that a deal could be reached following claims that Pogba has already agreed personal terms.

Allegri holds some confidence that the 23-year-old will remain at the Turin-based club, but the manager has insisted that he will still have a strong team should Pogba depart.

"Right now he's still a Juventus player," Allegri told reporters in a press conference in Melbourne. "We don't know what will happen in the course of the next week, but we're confident.

"At the end of the transfer window we'll have a very strong team. Dani Alves, [Medhi] Benatia, [Miralem] Pjanic and [Marko] Pjaca have come in. When the window closes the team will be very strong."

Pogba is not scheduled to return for pre-season training until August 6.
