Manchester United have reportedly already set their sights on a potential replacement for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Despite a busy deadline day, Manchester United chiefs have reportedly already taken the first steps to prepare for a potential switch of manager. According to the Daily Star, the club have sounded out Mauricio Pochettino's camp about his interest in taking over from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The paper says Solskjaer has been put on notice about the need for quick and drastic improvement, with the Red Devils prepared to bring Pochettino on board during the next international break in November if there is no significant turnaround in the club's fortunes.

West Ham have reportedly engaged in talks with Watford over defender Craig Dawson. The Daily Mail says the Hammers turned their attention to the 30-year-old after being priced out of a move for for Burnley centre back James Tarkowski.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Eric Garcia is set to see out the final year of his contract with Manchester City after Barcelona were unable to meet the club's valuation for the 19-year-old defender.
