Manchester City full-back Kyle Walker insists that the title race is not yet over despite opening up an 11-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.

Manchester City full-back Kyle Walker has insisted that the Premier League title race is not over despite helping his side open up an 11-point lead over Manchester United at the top of the table.

Goals from David Silva and Nicolas Otamendi either side of a Marcus Rashford strike saw Pep Guardiola's men register a 14th consecutive Premier League win at Old Trafford this afternoon, breaking the single-season competition record in the process.

City have dropped only two points from a possible 48 so far this season and are well on course to regain the Premier League crown, but Walker insists that there is still a lot of work for his side to do.

"It's a very big three points. In the build up to the game there was a lot of pressure on us," he told BBC Sport.

Asked if the title race was over, Walker added: "No, not at all. There's still a lot of football to be played. We've got a big game at Swansea on Wednesday and then we've got Tottenham.

"It's not over yet and we need to keep our feet on the floor. The gaffer won't let us take our feet off the ground. It's a step in the right direction, it's a positive step."

City would become the first team to ever win 15 consecutive Premier League matches if they beat Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday.
