Danny Rose admits that he and his Tottenham Hotspur teammates are 'relishing' the chance to end Manchester City's winning run when they lock horns this weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur full-back Danny Rose has insisted that his side will travel to Manchester City this weekend full of confidence, despite their opponents' "frightening" form.

The Citizens have made the best start of any side in Premier League history by winning 16 and drawing one of their opening 17 matches.

Next up for the two-time winners is the visit of Tottenham on Saturday afternoon, as they look to make it 16 top-flight wins in a row against last season's runners-up.

Rose is under no illusion just how tough a test is in store for Spurs, but he is taking confidence from a run of four games without defeat against City over the last two seasons.

"They're in good form. They do look very frightening - scoring goals and they've kept a clean sheet against Swansea," he told the London Evening Standard. "We've done alright there in the past couple of seasons and that should give us some confidence at the weekend.

"We'll go there and relish it. We were the first ones to beat City last season and we disrupted Chelsea's unbeaten run. It's another challenge we all look forward to. It's a challenge the manager looks forward to."

Rose, who played in the 2-2 draw between the sides at the start of the year, is expected to start this weekend's match on the bench.
