Jose Mourinho says that he can almost "guarantee" that he will be working as a manager again in the summer, but will only go where he is "truly wanted".

Jose Mourinho has admitted that he can "almost guarantee" that he will be back in management this summer, but insists that he will only join a club where he feels "truly wanted".

The Portuguese coach, who has been out of work since getting sacked by Chelsea in December, has been heavily linked to Manchester United.

It has been widely reported that Mourinho could replace current boss Louis van Gaal at the end of the season, but some news outlets are claiming that the Premier League outfit will stick with the Dutchman, who has one year left on his contract.

It is believed that Mourinho has had an offer to take charge of the Syrian national team, while Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is reportedly considering re-hiring the 53-year-old, who left the Bernabeu after a three-year spell in 2013.

While the man himself has refused to name his suitors, he has claimed that he expects to be back in work for the 2016-17 season.

"I can almost guarantee you that I'll be back working this summer," Mourinho told Portuguese newspaper O Jogo. "I've good offers on the table. It's a matter of thinking, to come to a good decision and finalise it. In the summer, at the end of the season, everyone will know what my next club will be.

"I'll take my ideas to where they wanted. I want to be at a place where I'm truly wanted. After a few months to recharge my batteries, I'll be ready to go with everything I have to give.

"I want to work at a club with responsibility, in a hard league, where there're no easy objectives. That doesn't leave many options."

As a manager, Mourinho has won league titles at Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid.
