Sports Mole looks at how Manchester United could line up in Wednesday's Champions League clash with Young Boys.

Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick will make wholesale changes to his starting XI for Wednesday's Champions League clash with Young Boys at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have already booked their spot in the last-16 stage of the competition as Group F winners, so the German will rest a number of players ahead of Saturday's league contest with Norwich City.

Paul Pogba, Edinson Cavani and Raphael Varane will again miss the contest through injury, while Luke Shaw remains a doubt for the 20-time English champions.

Neither Anthony Martial nor Jesse Lingard were involved in Sunday's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace through injury, and the former has again been ruled out with a knee injury.

Dean Henderson, Eric Bailly, Teden Mengi, Donny van de Beek, Juan Mata, Mason Greenwood and Anthony Elanga could all potentially be handed spots in the starting side.

Meanwhile, Nemanja Matic and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who were both back on the bench against Palace after recovering from injuries, will come into the XI.

Cristiano Ronaldo will be desperate to be given the chance to add to the six Champions League goals that he has already managed this season, but the Portugal international is unlikely to be in the squad.

Manchester United possible starting lineup: Henderson; Wan-Bissaka, Mengi, Bailly, Telles; Matic, Van de Beek; Greenwood, Mata, Elanga; Rashford
