Sports Mole looks at how Manchester United could line up in Tuesday's Champions League clash with Young Boys.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to resist the temptation to shuffle his pack for Tuesday's Champions League Group F opener against Young Boys in Switzerland.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice on his second debut for the club against Newcastle United on Saturday, and the Portugal international is again expected to be in the starting XI here despite the quick turnaround.

Marcus Rashford and Alex Telles will definitely be unavailable for selection, while Edinson Cavani has not travelled due to the knock that forced him to miss Saturday's 4-1 win over Newcastle.

Scott McTominay has also been left out of the squad despite returning to training following groin surgery, and the Scotland international could potentially be available for the team's next league fixture against West Ham United.

Fred, though, is expected to return, with the midfielder being an unused substitute against Newcastle, as it was unclear whether he would be allowed to play due to a FIFA-imposed suspension, which was ultimately lifted.

If Nemanja Matic starts, Paul Pogba could be moved to the left, with Jadon Sancho dropping down to the bench, while Jesse Lingard might have put himself in contention with his goal off the bench at the weekend.

Solskjaer certainly has decisions to make in the midfield and forward areas, where Anthony Martial and Donny van de Beek are also pushing to be involved.

However, there are not expected to be any changes in a defensive area, with the same back four remaining in place, and David de Gea starting over Dean Henderson, who featured alongside Phil Jones for the Under-23s on Saturday in order to build his match fitness, and the England international has not travelled to Switzerland.

Manchester United possible starting lineup: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Maguire, Shaw; Fred, Pogba; Greenwood, Fernandes, Sancho; Ronaldo
