Raheem Sterling urges Premier League leaders Manchester City to maintain their impressive form following their comfortable 4-0 victory at Norwich City on Saturday.

Raheem Sterling has urged Manchester City to maintain their impressive Premier League form following their comfortable 4-0 victory at Norwich City on Saturday.

The 27-year-old netted a perfect hat-trick at Carrow Road, with Phil Foden also on the scoresheet, to help the Citizens claim their 20th top-flight win of the season and move 12 points clear at the summit.

Pep Guardiola's men have dropped just two points in their last 15 league games and remain in a strong position to clinch their fourth Premier League title in five years; however, Sterling insists that they cannot get too far ahead of themselves.

"We said last week we've got to take it one step at a time," Sterling told Sky Sports News in his post-match interview.

"It was a difficult game against Brentford, and we knew we just had to keep chipping away at it.

"Just consistency, that mindset to keep wanting to do better, wanting to win, not resting on our laurels, and that's the only way we're going to get better.

"To be a top team, it's every three days, that's the challenge for us, to keep winning every three days."

Sterling has now scored seven career hat-tricks, including five for Man City, and his third goal against Norwich puts him on 10 Premier League strikes this season, reaching that milestone for the fifth successive league campaign.

The England international and his City teammates will now turn their attention to next Tuesday's Champions League last-16 tie against Sporting Lisbon in Portugal.
