Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp reportedly has no plans to buy a new left-back before the transfer window closes.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp reportedly has no plans to sign a new left-back before the end of the transfer window this month.

Alberto Moreno was heavily criticised for his performance against Arsenal at the weekend as he gave away a penalty in the 4-3 win for Liverpool at the Emirates.

Despite the club being linked to numerous left-backs, including Leicester City's Ben Chilwell, it is understood that Klopp will not be dipping into the market to replace Moreno, according to the Liverpool Echo.

However, the report adds that the German boss will drop the Spaniard for this weekend's match against Burnley and will replace him with James Milner, who missed the season-opening clash against Arsenal with a bruised heel.

During last month's pre-season tour of the United States, Milner admitted that he did not like playing at left-back, but would take on the role if given to him by Klopp.
