Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how France could line up for Saturday's World Cup 2022 quarter-final with England.

France manager Didier Deschamps should have Kylian Mbappe fit and raring to go for Saturday's World Cup 2022 quarter-final with England at the Al Bayt Stadium.

The Paris Saint-Germain attacker, who leads the way in the World Cup scoring charts with five goals, missed training on Tuesday due to ankle discomfort, but he was back with the team 24 hours later.

The reigning champions have won all nine of their World Cup games that Mbappe has started and should therefore have the chance to make that 10 here, as the 23-year-old links up with record holder Olivier Giroud.

The 36-year-old is now the all-time leading scorer for the French men's team after netting his 52nd strike in their last-16 win over Poland, overtaking Thierry Henry's 51 in the process.

Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele will complete the attacking quartet for France, who have a minor disciplinary concern in the engine room.

Real Madrid lynchpin Aurelien Tchouameni will miss the semi-finals - should Les Bleus get there - if he is booked on Saturday, but he can still expect to partner Adrien Rabiot.

Jules Kounde is in the same boat, but the Barcelona man has ousted Benjamin Pavard from the right-back spot and should form part of an untouched backline with Dayot Upamecano, Raphael Varane, Theo Hernandez and Hugo Lloris.

France possible starting lineup: Lloris; Kounde, Varane, Upamecano, T. Hernandez; Tchouameni, Rabiot; Dembele, Griezmann, Mbappe; Giroud
