Everton manager Ronald Koeman insists that he is "not worried" by Romelu Lukaku's performance during his side's 4-0 EFL Cup win over Yeovil Town.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman has insisted that he is "not worried" by Romelu Lukaku's performance during his side's 4-0 win over Yeovil Town.

The Belgian was handed his first start of the season having missed the opening matches due to injury, but squandered a number of clear chances as the Toffees cruised into the third round of the EFL Cup.

Koeman admitted that Lukaku at his best would have got his name on the scoresheet at Goodison Park, but does not believe that the display is cause for concern.

"I am not worried. That can happen for strikers. He did okay. Maybe he had to score one out of two good chances," he told reporters.

"Normally if he is on his best level he will score at least one goal (in this match), but I am not worried because he missed some minutes in the pre-season."

Arouna Kone scored his first goals since January to complete the rout for Everton after Aaron Lennon and Ross Barkley had given the Toffees the lead.
