Roma defender Antonio Rudiger - a reported target for Chelsea - suggests that he intends to enjoy his summer break before any decisions are made regarding his future.

Roma defender Antonio Rudiger has suggested that he will not make a decision regarding his future until he has enjoyed a break ahead of next season.

Rudiger has been heavily linked with a transfer to Chelsea after making 33 starts for Roma in all competitions last season, but his campaign has been extended due to Germany's participation in the Confederations Cup.

The world champions won the tournament with a 1-0 victory over Chile on Sunday night, and the centre-back has hinted that he wants to celebrate that achievement rather than consider his options in club football.

The 24-year-old told reporters: "It's not about the future now. It's now about enjoyment. I need to enjoy this moment, and I'm enjoying it to the fullest. The rest we will see in the coming weeks."

Chelsea are yet to make any outfield signings, despite head coach Antonio Conte allegedly being in the market for a number of additions ahead of their attempt to defend their Premier League title.
