Promoted Burnley are reportedly plotting a summer move for Charlton Athletic goalkeeper Nick Pope.

Burnley have reportedly identified Nick Pope as the ideal option to bolster their goalkeeping ranks.

It is believed that manager Sean Dyche is eager to secure some competition for number one keeper Tom Heaton following the club's return to the Premier League.

According to the Lancashire Evening Telegraph, Charlton Athletic gloveman Pope has captured Dyche's attention.

In what was a tough season for the Addicks that ultimately ended in relegation from the Championship, 24-year-old Pope is widely regarded to have been one of their leading lights during his 28 outings.

The report adds that the Clarets have also been monitoring Southend United's Daniel Bentley.
