Brighton & Hove Albion's scoreless run goes on as they draw 0-0 with Nottingham Forest, who move off the bottom of the table with the point.

Nottingham Forest climbed off the bottom of the Premier League table courtesy of a 0-0 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium this evening.

The Seagulls created a string of chances, particularly in the first half, but could not find a way through the Forest defence as their scoreless run extended to three matches.

Leandro Trossard came closest to breaking the deadlock with an effort which struck the crossbar in the first half, while he was also one of a number of Brighton players to threaten with other chances over the course of the 90 minutes.

However, Forest held out for a point despite Brighton seeing 70% of the ball and having 19 shots, seven of which were on target compared to just three shots and none on target for the visitors.

Roberto De Zerbi's side have now had 54 shots without scoring in their last three Premier League outings, having found the back of the net with three of their six efforts in his first game in charge against Liverpool.

The result means that the Brighton boss also remains winless in his first four league games as manager - the first person to suffer that fate with the Seagulls since Barry Lloyd in 1987.

De Zerbi will justifiably feel baffled as to just how his side are still searching for their first victory since Graham Potter's exit, though, with Trossard, Solly March, Pascal Gross, Danny Welbeck and Adam Webster among those to miss presentable openings this evening.

Forest offered precious little in response throughout the course of the game as their winless run extended to nine Premier League games, with this one of the meekest performances yet in that run.

However, despite Steve Cooper's side remaining winless on the road this season, the point is enough to lift them off the bottom of the table until at least Thursday, when Leicester City will have the chance to climb back above them.
