Boca Juniors forward Carlos Tevez is not considering hanging up his boots at the end of 2016, insists his agent Kia Joorabchian.

Carlos Tevez is not considering hanging up his boots at the end of 2016, according to his agent Kia Joorabchian.

Earlier this week, Tevez, who is currently back with Boca Juniors in Argentina, claimed that he was considering retiring in December after 'becoming tired' of playing football.

However, Joorabchian has insisted that the 32-year-old was simply speaking in the heat of the moment and has laughed off suggestions that the "erratic" Argentine is heading out of the game in a couple of months.

"Carlos... obviously I have a very big relationship with him, he is like my son," Joorabchian told Goal.com. "I love him to bits, but Carlos is Carlos. Carlos Tevez wouldn't be Carlos Tevez if he didn't act erratic sometimes.

"At times he is erratic, at times he makes comments based on how he feels and at times he is like that. At the moment, if he feels it is time to retire, he says 'I am tired of football and it is time to retire'. Then two days later he could be ready to go back and fight for the Champions League, that's Carlos. He has plenty to offer the game still."

Former West Ham United, Manchester United, Manchester City and Juventus striker Tevez re-joined Boca last year and is under contract with the Argentine club until 2018.
