A report claims that Real Madrid have made an offer in the region of £54m for Bayern Munich full-back David Alaba.

Real Madrid have reportedly made a £54m offer for Bayern Munich full-back David Alaba.

It is understood that the Spanish giants are keen to sign a big-name player in this summer's transfer window and talk of a move for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has quietened in recent days.

According to AS, Real Madrid are now focusing all of their attention on bringing Alaba to the Bernabeu and have made an offer in the region of £54m for the Austrian international.

Alaba, 24, who can also play in midfield, joined Bayern from Austria Vienna in 2008 and has won five Bundesliga titles during his five seasons in the first team at the Allianz Arena.
