A report claims that Hull City and Middlesbrough want to sign Arsenal defender Calum Chambers on loan before the end of the month.

Hull City and Middlesbrough are both reportedly interested in taking Arsenal defender Calum Chambers on loan.

The 21-year-old has made 59 appearances for the Gunners since joining from Southamton in the summer of 2014, but has largely struggled to hold down a regular spot in the first team.

On Friday, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admitted that Chambers could leave on loan this month if, as expected, Valencia centre-back Shkodran Mustafi makes the move to the Emirates Stadium.

According to The Mirror, both Hull and Middlesbrough are interested in signing the central defender on a short-term basis, while Spanish duo Espanyol and Valencia are also believed to be monitoring proceedings.

Chambers only made 25 first-team appearances for Southampton before joining Arsenal in July 2014.
