Aston Villa announce that they have completed a deal for Middlesbrough winger Albert Adomah.

Middlesbrough have allowed winger Albert Adomah to join Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee.

Adomah had been keen to leave the Riverside Stadium last summer but he remained in the North-East to help the club win promotion to the Premier League.

However, after slipping down the pecking order due to head coach Aitor Karanka making 11 summer signings, he was made available for transfer and he has now departed the club after making 143 appearances in all competitions.

It has also been announced that Adama Traore has gone the opposite way, with the 20-year-old signing a four-year contract with the newly-promoted team.
