Arsenal are reportedly closing in on the £30m signing of AS Monaco forward Thomas Lemar.

Arsenal are reportedly edging closer to the signing of AS Monaco forward Thomas Lemar.

The 21-year-old, who scored 14 goals and made 14 others in 51 appearances in all competitions, was previously linked to Tottenham Hotspur.

However, according to the Daily Mail, the Gunners are in the driving seat to complete a £30m deal for the midfielder as talks are progressing.

It is believed that Lemar has no problem with Arsenal's lack of Champions League football and is keen to work under manager Arsene Wenger.

The North London outfit's only other signing so far this summer is Sead Kolasinac from Schalke 04.
