British number one Johanna Konta admits that she is delighted to have breezed past Hsieh Su-Wei in the Wimbledon first round.

Johanna Konta has said that she is 'feeling well' after she brushed aside the challenge of Hsieh Su-Wei in the Wimbledon first round.

Last Thursday, Konta sustained a back injury which led to her withdrawal from the Eastbourne Invitational semi-finals, but she showed no ill effects in registering a 6-2 6-2 victory over Hsieh.

It means that Konta gets revenge for her opening-round defeat to Hsieh at the French Open, and she acknowledged that she was delighted to come through in just 64 minutes.

The 26-year-old told BBC Sport: "I'm very happy to have come through that. She is a very tricky player on any surface and she obviously beat me in a tight three-set match at the French Open. I was really looking forward to trying again to beat her and I am really happy to come through that.

"I feel well. After I hit yesterday, that was the first test and I feel pretty good."

Konta could play Donna Vekic - who beat her in the final of the Nottingham Open last month - in the second round.
