A report claims that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will run down the final 12 months of his contract at Arsenal before leaving next summer.

England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will reportedly run down the final 12 months of his contract at Arsenal before leaving the Gunners at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.

Last month, it was claimed that Oxlade-Chamberlain was 'deeply frustrated' with Arsenal over their lack of movement when it came to offering the midfielder a new contract.

The 23-year-old scored twice and registered seven assists in 29 Premier League appearances during the 2016-17 campaign, but he struggled to hold down a regular position in the team.

According to The Times, Oxlade-Chamberlain has rejected a take-it-or-leave-it offer from the Gunners, and will now wait out the final year of his contract before leaving the Emirates Stadium on a free transfer at the end of next season.

Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City are all said to be interested in a player that has scored 20 times in 194 appearances for Arsenal following a 2011 move from Southampton.
