Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Arsenal could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Arsenal will be forced to work around the absence of Granit Xhaka for the next few months, starting with Saturday's Premier League trip to Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Switzerland captain suffered a 'significant' knee ligament injury in last week's 3-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur, and he is now fighting to play again before the end of the calendar year.

However, Arsenal otherwise have a clean bill of health for the trip to the South Coast, and there is no reason for Mikel Arteta to change a winning formula this weekend.

Aaron Ramsdale's stunning fingertip save in the dying moments of the North London derby saw him continue to justify his selection over Bernd Leno, while Takehiro Tomiyasu also produced a standout performance against the Lilywhites.

Gabriel Magalhaes, Ben White and Kieran Tierney will complete an unchanged and steadfast Arsenal defence at the Amex, and Albert Sambi Lokonga is the most likely candidate to fill in for the injured Xhaka alongside Thomas Partey.

After claiming a goal and assist against Tottenham, Bukayo Saka revealed a pre-game breakfast conversation with Emile Smith Rowe about scoring against the Gunners' biggest rivals, and the talk clearly worked as the latter also chalked up two contributions of his own.

Martin Odegaard will continue as the Gunners' creative hub while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - who replicated the iconic Thierry Henry Tottenham celebration last weekend - will aim to build on a tally of five goals from his last five in all tournaments.

Arsenal possible starting lineup: Ramsdale; Tomiyasu, White, Gabriel, Tierney; Lokonga, Partey; Saka, Odegaard, Smith Rowe; Aubameyang
