Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Molde

Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Thursday's Europa League fixture with Molde.

Arsenal return to action on the continent on Thursday evening as they take on Norwegian outfit Molde in the Europa League.

Having already recorded three successive victories in Group B, the Gunners will almost certainly qualify for the knockout stages as group winners with success at the Aker Stadion.

However, Mikel Arteta is currently dealing with a wide range of selection issues, something which will inevitably lead to rotation ahead of the Premier League encounter against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the weekend.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news as they build up to their trip to Scandinavia.

Bukayo Saka

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: November 29 (vs. Wolves)

During the closing stages of the fixture with Leeds United, Saka needed to be withdrawn after being on the receiving end of a heavy challenge. Ahead of a relentless period of games, no risks will be taken on the left-sided player.

Pablo Mari

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: December 3 (vs. Rapid Vienna)

Mari has been absent since June but is now in the final stages of his recovery from an ankle injury. The centre-back could be considered for selection for the home clash with Rapid Vienna at the beginning of December.

Willian

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscular
Possible return date: November 21 (vs. Wolves)

Like Saka, Willian sustained an issue during the meeting at Elland Road. Arteta has revealed that the Brazilian is suffering with a muscular injury, likely leading to the playmaker missing out on the visit to Norway.

Gabriel Martinelli

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

While Martinelli is making steady progress in his recovery from a knee injury, the Brazilian is still facing a race against time to feature before the end of 2020.

Mohamed Elneny

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Coronavirus
Possible return date: November 29 (vs. Wolves)

Elneny tested positive for coronavirus while away on international duty with Egypt and has been self-isolating in Cairo. The midfielder is not expected to come back into contention until the weekend.

Sead Kolasinac

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Coronavirus
Possible return date: November 29 (vs. Wolves)

Bosnia & Herzegovina defender Kolasinac also contracted COVID-19 while on international duty, resulting in him missing out against Leeds. Like Elneny, the defender will have to record a negative test before returning to the fold.

Thomas Partey

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: November 26 (vs. Molde)

Despite suggestions that he could return from a thigh injury to feature against Leeds, Partey played no part at Elland Road. Given his other selection issues, Arteta may consider naming the Ghana international among his replacements if he can prove his fitness.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no suspension concerns ahead of this encounter.
