Lee Selby will defend his IBF featherweight crown against American Eric Hunter at London's O2 Arena on April 9.

Matchroom Sport have announced that British featherweight Lee Selby will defend his IBF title against Eric Hunter on April 9.

It has been known for some time that Selby would meet his mandatory challenger in his next outing, but the date and venue were unclear with promoter Eddie Hearn previously saying that London and Cardiff were possibilities.

However, it has now been confirmed that the world title clash will take place at the O2 Arena on the undercard of Anthony Joshua's showdown with world heavyweight champion Charles Martin.

Selby has won 22 of his 23 fights as a professional, while Hunter has lost three times in 24 matches, although two of those setbacks have been as a result of a disqualification.
