Wolverhampton Wanderers are linked with a swoop for Stoke City striker Peter Crouch.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with a move for out-of-favour Stoke City striker Peter Crouch.

Since Chinese conglomerate Fosun International became owners and Walter Zenga was appointed as new manager, Wolves have signed three players - Hector Costa, Silvio and Joao Teixeira.

According to the Birmingham Mail, Crouch could be an attacking option for Wolves, but owner Jeff Shi is believed to be wary of sealing his signature if Stoke's asking price is too high.

The report also quashed rumours that the striker was at Wolves' training ground in Compton today.
