Wolverhampton Wanderers are allegedly among the teams who are interested in signing Racing Club midfielder Carlos Alcaraz.

Agent Sebastian Lopez has confirmed that there is a club from England who are monitoring any developments with the future of Racing Club midfielder Carlos Alcaraz.

The 19-year-old has established himself as one of the top prospects in Argentine football, already making a total of 83 appearances for Racing Club.

Alcaraz, who features in the centre of the pitch, has contributed 12 goals and six assists, while he has 12 outings in continental football to his name.

Possessing a contract until 2026, Alcaraz could theoretically remain at his current team in the long term, but he is allegedly generating widespread interest in Europe.

A recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that Wolverhampton Wanderers and Porto were both admirers of the youngster.

Inter Milan were also credited with an interest in Alcaraz, despite his lack of international experience at any level with his country, and Lopez has decided to elaborate on his future in the Italian press.

Speaking to Tuttosport, Lopez has acknowledged that clubs from the Premier League and Primeira Liga have made contact regarding a potential deal, as well as openly speaking about a possible switch to San Siro.

Lopez said: "We have an option from England and another from Portugal, but neither Inter or Milan have had their directors contact me in the last few hours.

"The clubs we have spoken to are at a high level. Inter and Milan would be great destinations for him.

"The Nerazzurri, perhaps given that they've had history with [Diego] Milito and now Lautaro [Martinez], are particularly interested in Carlos."

Lopez also added that any clubs looking to finalise a transfer would be able to do so "for around €15m (£13m)", potentially lower depending on whether a percentage of any future sale is included.

With regards to Wolves, newly-appointed head coach Lopetegui has already admitted that he would like to make a number of additions at the turn of the year.

Midfield could become an area of concern with Ruben Neves expected to depart Molineux in January or the summer, while Joao Moutinho turned 36 years of age in September.
