A report claims that Nacer Chadli did not travel to Austria with the rest of his teammates as he is not a fan of Tony Pulis's gruelling pre-season training regime.

West Bromwich Albion midfielder Nacer Chadli has reportedly been omitted from the club's pre-season tour of Austria following a confrontation with boss Tony Pulis.

The Belgium international is said to have informed Pulis that he did not want to take part in the gruelling fitness regime and has therefore been left in the West Midlands to undertake his own programme.

According to The Telegraph, Chadli was not part of the travelling party that flew out on Tuesday, perhaps casting doubt on his future with the Baggies.

It is claimed that the 27-year-old will focus on strength and conditioning in England while his teammates are put through their paces in Austria, but he is expected to be back in the fold for the second leg of Albion's tour, which takes them to Hong Kong next week for the Premier League Asia Trophy.

Chadli, who joined West Brom from Tottenham Hotspur for £13m a year ago, is understood to be happy at The Hawthorns and is not angling for a move away.
