Former USA manager Jurgen Klinsmann has rubbished reports that he is a contender for the vacancy at Sunderland.
The Black Cats have been trying to fill the position over the past five weeks following David Moyes's resignation in May.
Klinsmann's name entered the fray after a German consortium held talks with Sunderland owner Ellis Short regarding a potential takeover, and the man himself has now had his say.
After attending a gig in Los Angeles, the 52-year-old wrote on Facebook: "Had a blast last night at STYX concert at the beautiful Greek Theatre in LA What a fantastic venue! On another front: no truth on rumours coaching Sunderland FC in the near future."
Klinsmann has been out of work since getting sacked as USA head coach in November.
