Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane: 'Winning Golden Boot is a dream come true'

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane describes winning the Premier League Golden Boot as a "dream come true".

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has described winning the Golden Boot as a "dream come true".

The England international scooped the gong after scoring 25 Premier League goals in the 2015-16 season.

Kane ended the campaign top scorer after netting one more goal than Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero and Leicester City star Jamie Vardy, who were equal on 24.

The individual award is a consolation after Spurs crumbled in the final four games of the season to finish third in the table.

Mauricio Pochettino's side had their title campaign ruined by Chelsea, but they were destined for a second-place finish until they suffered a surprise 5-1 defeat to Newcastle United on the final day of the season.

In the end, they finished the season one point behind North London rivals Arsenal.
