Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Saudi Arabia could line up for Tuesday's World Cup 2022 Group C opener with Argentina.

Saudi Arabia manager Herve Renard is dealing with a couple of injury concerns ahead of Tuesday's World Cup 2022 Group C opener with Argentina at the Lusail Iconic Stadium.

The Arabian Falcons have reportedly seen midfielder Riyadh Sharahili pick up a muscular problem, and the 29-year-old's participation for the rest of the tournament is up in the air.

However, Sharahili was never expected to start here, and the same goes for defender Hassan Tambakti, who missed team training on Saturday owing to discomfort but was back in full training the following day.

The current top scorer in Saudi Arabia's ranks, 17-goal Salem Al-Dawsari, should begin on the left-hand side, as 10-goal Saleh Al-Shehri starts on the right flank.

The Arabian Falcons' 4-2-3-1 setup should see 22-year-old Firas Al-Buraikan lead the line, as Salman Al-Faraj wears the captain's armband from the number 10 position.

Mohamed Kanno and Abdulellah Al-Malki can feel confident of occupying the two spots in the engine room, as Abdulelah Al-Amri and Ali Al-Bulayhi start in the heart of the back four.

Yasser Al-Shahrani - a 72-cap international - is in line to start at left-back with Mohammed Al-Burayk on the right, as Mohammed Al-Owais acts as the last line of defence.

Saudi Arabia possible starting lineup: Al-Owais; Al-Burayk, Al-Amri, Al-Bulahyi, Al-Shahrani; Kanno, Al-Malki; Al-Shehri, Al-Faraj, Al-Daswari; Al-Buraikan
