Real Madrid are likely to be missing three first-team players for Wednesday's Champions League clash with RB Leipzig, according to a report.

Real Madrid are reportedly set to be without the services of three first-team players for Wednesday's Champions League clash with RB Leipzig.

Karim Benzema has already been definitely ruled out of the contest due to the thigh problem that he picked up in the European clash with Celtic last week.

Meanwhile, Eder Militao also had to leave the field in the 3-0 win in Glasgow, with the Brazil international picking up a hamstring issue, which led to Antonio Rudiger appearing off the bench for the second period.

Both players missed out against Mallorca in the league on Sunday, while Alvaro Odriozola was also absent due to a troublesome muscular problem.

Militao will again join Benzema on the sidelines against Leipzig, but Odriozola could potentially be back in the squad for the European affair with the German outfit depending on his recovery over the next 24 hours.

Real Madrid picked up a fresh issue against Mallorca at the weekend, meanwhile, with Lucas Vazquez leaving the field in the 71st minute of the contest due to a thigh issue.

According to Marca, Vazquez will undergo tests on Monday and Tuesday to determine the extent of the problem, but it is likely that he will be unavailable for selection against Leipzig.

The report claims that the 31-year-old is set to join Benzema and Militao on the sidelines for the contest, with Real Madrid bidding to continue their 100% start to the campaign.

Sunday's 4-1 win over Mallorca made it seven straight successes in all competitions at the start of this season, including victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Super Cup last month.

Los Blancos will take on Atletico Madrid in the Madrid derby this weekend, which will be their final fixture ahead of the international break, and Ancelotti has said that Benzema could be fit for the clash at Wanda Metropolitano.

"We will see if Benzema can play the derby on Sunday. If not he will not go with France," Ancelotti told reporters ahead of the clash with Mallorca.

"They are things that can happen to footballers. Last year he also had a small problem in December and I think that we covered him well. Without him the team played well against Celtic.

"A natural replacement for Karim we do not have, because he is the best forward in the world. There is no substitute for him on the market, but you can substitute him with players with different characteristics."

Dani Carvajal is set to replace Vazquez in the starting side against Leipzig, while Luka Modric and Aurelien Tchouameni are expected to come into the team in midfield.

Federico Valverde played in midfield against Mallorca, capping a strong performance with a goal, but he could be back in the front three for Wednesday's European affair.
