Sports Mole looks at how Portugal could line up in Saturday's friendly clash with Qatar.

Portugal boss Fernando Santos is expected to rotate his squad for Saturday's friendly against Qatar, as a key World Cup qualification fixture comes just three days later against Luxembourg.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, Ruben Dias and Bernardo Silva are among those in a very strong squad, but it seems unlikely that Santos will start his key players this weekend.

The team could have a similar look to the one that took to the field for the first whistle against Qatar last month, when Portugal recorded a 3-1 win.

Anthony Lopes, Diogo Dalot, Jose Fonte, Joao Mario, Andre Silva and Goncalo Guedes could all be in line for starts on Saturday.

There will be no Francisco Trincao, though, as the attacker has been forced to withdraw from the squad, having tested positive for coronavirus.

Dalot was a late call-up to the squad for this summer's European Championships and could be given the opportunity to impress at right-back.

Meanwhile, the likes of Joao Palhinha and Matheus Nunes will be hoping to earn some minutes in midfield, with Santos expected to make use of his squad at Estadio Do Algarve.

Portugal possible starting lineup: Lopes; Dalot, Fonte, Pepe, Mendes; Mario, Neves, Moutinho; Jota, A Silva, Guedes
