A report claims that Fulham head the queue to sign Manchester United forward James Wilson on loan this summer.

Manchester United striker James Wilson is reportedly close to joining Fulham on loan.

The 20-year-old was involved in Man United's first pre-season match last weekend, playing 45 minutes of the 2-0 win over Wigan Athletic in what was Jose Mourinho's first game in charge.

Wilson was left out of the 25-man Man United squad that headed for China on Tuesday night, however, and it is widely understood that he does not figure in Mourinho's plans for the new season.

According to The Sun, a number of Championship clubs want to sign the England Under-21 international on loan and it is Fulham that currently head the queue.

Wilson, who has scored four times in 20 first-team appearances for Man United, spent the second half of last season on loan in the Championship with Brighton & Hove Albion, netting five times.
