Manchester City reportedly have a £2.6m bid for Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina rejected.

Manchester City have reportedly failed in their initial advances for Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina.

Rumours are swirling that the two-time Premier League champions are willing to let Claudio Bravo leave following his performances last season.

The Chile international struggled to adapt to life in England, and some questionable displays forced him down the pecking order, but his teammate Willy Caballero now plays for Chelsea.

According to The Mirror, City's £2.6m bid for former Liverpool shot-stopper Reina was rejected, but Napoli could be open to selling if they receive an offer in the region of £4.5m.

Reina, who has also been linked to Newcastle United, has been a Napoli player since 2015 when he signed from Bayern Munich.
