Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Liverpool could line up for Wednesday's EFL Cup third-round clash with Derby County.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp should ring the changes for Wednesday's EFL Cup third-round clash with Derby County at Anfield.

The Reds are still without Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, Naby Keita, Arthur and Joel Matip, and James Milner will not return from concussion protocol in time to make the squad either.

As ever, alterations will be made in abundance for the reigning holders, starting with penalty shootout hero Caoimhin Kelleher replacing Alisson Becker in goal.

Ibrahima Konate will be expected to make way having only just returned to fitness, with Joe Gomez in line to come in alongside Nat Phillips, while Calvin Ramsay and Kostas Tsimikas could replace Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson.

As well as Ramsay, another man hoping to earn his full senior debut for Liverpool is Stefan Bajcetic, who could come into the engine room alongside Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, with Harvey Elliott and Fabio Carvalho out wide.

A lack of attacking options is still bedevilling Klopp, though, so Roberto Firmino and Darwin Nunez could form their strike partnership once more.

Liverpool possible starting lineup: Kelleher; Ramsay, Gomez, Phillips, Tsimikas; Elliott, Bajcetic, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Carvalho; Firmino, Nunez
