Leeds contact Derby about Matej Vydra?
Leeds United reportedly contact Derby County about the availability of striker Matej Vydra.

Leeds United have reportedly contacted Derby County about the availability of striker Matej Vydra.

The 26-year-old, who was the Championship's top scorer last season after netting 21 goals for the Rams, is allegedly the target of several second-tier outfits this summer.

According to The Mirror, Leeds have already expressed their interest, with new boss Marcelo Bielsa keen on bringing the Czech Republic international to Elland Road.

The newspaper says that Vydra, who is paid £30,000 per week at Derby, could be sacrificed for a double-figure sum as Rams owner Mel Morris looks to cut the club's wage bill after missing out on promotion last term.

Vydra, who signed for Derby in 2016 for £8m, has two years left on his current contract.
