The Football Association are reportedly concerned that Harry Kane could be booked if he wears the 'OneLove' armband in support of LGBTQ+ rights.

The Football Association are reportedly concerned that England captain Harry Kane could be booked for wearing the 'OneLove' armband.

England players have already decided that they will take a knee before the start of their World Cup opener against Iran on Monday.

Kane was also expected to wear the 'OneLove' armband as a sign of support for LGBTQ+ rights, but there is concern that the gesture could result in a yellow card.

According to the Daily Mail, English football executives are looking to receive clarity from FIFA about what punishment could be handed out.

The Football Association were believed to be expecting a fine for wearing the armband, but they are hoping to receive a response from FIFA by Monday morning.

Speaking about the armband, Kane said: "We've made it clear as a team, staff and organisation that we want to wear the armband.

"I know the FA are talking to Fifa at the moment and I'm sure by game time tomorrow they will have their decision. I think we've made it clear that we want to wear it."

Following Monday's fixture with Iran, Gareth Southgate's side will wrap up the group stage with games against the United States and Wales.
