Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has claimed that he 'does not know anything' regarding Nemanja Matic's future at the club.

The 28-year-old, played a key role in Chelsea's Premier League title triumph last term, but the arrival of French midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko from AS Monaco has placed the Serbian's future in doubt.

Manchester United are said to be in pole position to sign the experienced midfielder after Juventus dropped their interest, and Conte remained coy when questioned on a potential move.

"I do not know anything [about Matic]," Conte told reporters. "You have to ask the club, I do not know anything about this."

Man United have already spent more than £100m on Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelof in this summer's transfer window, but head coach Jose Mourinho wants at least one more player to complete his squad for the new campaign.

Matic has won two Premier League titles in his last three seasons with Chelsea.
