Thiago Silva is reportedly being touted as the next big-name player to make a move to Saudi Arabia, with multiple unnamed clubs said to be in for the Chelsea defender.

Multiple unnamed Saudi Arabian clubs have reportedly made contact with Chelsea over signing Thiago Silva this summer.

Silva signed a new contract extension at Stamford Bridge in February, but the club are not expected to stand in the Brazilian's way if he wishes to leave.

A return to his native Brazil looked the most likely outcome, but Football.London claims that multiple clubs in Saudi Arabia are keen to make Silva another one of the league's marquee signings.

That is after Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr at the start of the year, raising the profile of the league, with Lionel Messi also being linked with a move to the Saudi League.

However, speaking to ESPN recently, Silva did make it clear he is expecting to see out his current contract in West London, saying: "I've always fulfilled my contracts. I won't stay here if Chelsea don't want me for next year or if the new coach who arrives doesn't want me to stay.

"I'm going to try to fulfill my contract that is signed until next year."

The 38-year-old has remained a pivotal part of the Chelsea side this season, featuring 34 times for the club across all competitions.
