Brazil made their World Cup 2018 qualifying visit to Bolivia on Thursday evening safe in the knowledge that a spot at the tournament in Russia next year was already secure.
Tite's men were instead out to gain their first qualification win in Bolivia since 1985, but were unable to find a way past an inspired home goalkeeper in the shape of Carlos Lampe as the contest finished goalless.

Good evening everyone and thank you for joining us as we bring you live coverage of Brazil's World Cup 2018 qualifying clash with Bolivia at the Estadio Hernando Siles.
Brazil come into this clash having already qualified for next year's tournament in Russia, while their Bolivian hosts tonight are already out of contention for qualification.
Those facts perhaps suggests that this game is a slight dead rubber, although that's not quite the case. Such has been Tite's policy of rotation during his tenure, everyone in this Brazil squad still has a chance to force themselves into the coach's first-team plans come next summer. Expect a hard-fought contest this evening, that's for sure.
Tite has been nothing short of a revelation at the helm of this Brazil outfit. Following miserable exits from both the last World Cup and the Copa America, the former Corinthians boss has turned this unit into something close to an unstoppable force. Under Tite, Brazil have won nine and drawn one World Cup qualifier. Those nine victories came back-to-back prior to a more recent 1-1 draw with Colombia.
Central to the coach's success thus far has been his ability to manage expectations, while also being able to win both the press and players on his side. There has also been some slightly tinkering with the Selecao's formation and the coach has also been keen to install some more experienced heads in the shape of Renato Augusto and Paulinho.
Where both Luiz Felipe Scolari and Dunga failed in the past came in trying to thread a wealth of attacking talent together. Tite has found success in the deployment of Philippe Coutinho as an advanced playmaker, but what has perhaps been even more courageous has been the coach's backing of Manchester City youngster Gabriel Jesus alone in attack.
Last time these two sides met, Brazil ran out 5-0 winners in the reverse of this fixture last year. The Yellows had Neymar, Philippe Coutinho, Filipe Luis, Gabriel Jesus and Roberto Firmino to thank for goals in what was a dominant performance on home soil.
The altitude in La Paz has the potential to cause all sorts of trouble tonight though, and that implication might suggest as to why Brazil have been unable to pick up a qualification win in Bolivia since 1985.
Bolivia are clearly a side that favour playing in this climate. Across the qualifying group, Bolivia's four victories have all come at home and recent wins against Chile and Argentina suggested that they might have been in with a chance of qualification had they been able to improve on the road. After 16 qualifiers in the Russia 2018 process, Bolivia have lost 11 and drawn once alongside those four wins.
One intriguing piece of news that we already know is that Real Madrid sensation Casemiro will captain Brazil for the first time this evening. Tite's leadership plans are already proving meticulous given that the coach has now named a 12th different captain of the Selecao since taking over as he builds towards next summer.
Perhaps one of the tactical strokes of genius deployed by Tite has been to remove the country's long-serving idea of having a double-pivot to shield the defence. Tite has mainly been playing just one man in that hole in the way of Casemiro, which has lead to room for another linking player to help get the best out of his attacking players.

So it's a rather strong starting XI for Tite here. Jesus starts up top, while Neymar, Coutinho and Renato Augusto all feature. The midfield steel is to be provided by Casemiro with Paulinho playing slightly further forward. It's a tough defence too as Dani Alves and Alex Sandro take up the full-back positions, leaving Thiago Silva and Miranda in the centre.
If Tite's preparations are anything to go by, he'll likely be wanting to test this side together in what could be tough and laborious conditions at such high altitude tonight. Claiming three points in Bolivia will not only prove a psychological boost for the players, but will also prove that they are fit and ready to go as a unit ahead of the tournament.
The Estadio Hernando Siles is actually one of the highest stadiums in the world - it sits 3,637 metres above sea level.
This will obviously be a rather special night for Madrid midfielder Casemiro. Here is what he has had to say in the build-up to the game: "It's an immense pride for me to be captain of the national team," Casemiro told the press at Brazil's Granja Comary training complex on Tuesday. Just being here is already a source of pride. I have no words to describe how happy I am to be captain."
The one slight annoyance for Tite here will be the absence of Flamengo playmaker Diego, who was recently forced to drop out of the squad through injury just when the coach was starting to get a decent look at the player.
Brazil's most recent win in the country came during a 4-0 friendly victory four years ago. Prior to that, Bolivia beat Brazil 2-1 on home soil during 2009.
PREDICTION! We have 10 minutes until kickoff now and it is time to make a prediction... In terms of qualification, this game is a dead-rubber, although there is still plenty for Brazil to play for in terms of squad selection and tactical practice. Tite has opted for a strong side and will likely want to put his players through their paces at altitude. The conditions will certainly prove difficult, but Brazil will likely come out on top. I'm backing the visitors to pip this encounter 1-0.
There's a fiery atmosphere in the stadium already as we await kickoff - a decent turnout considering that Brazil are already through and Bolivia find themselves out of the tournament next summer. The weather is absolutely beautiful, La Paz is sun-drenched!
KICKOFF! Here we go then, Fernando Rapallini blows his whistle and we're off. Brazil get things moving...
It's a scrappy start to proceedings as Coutinho needlessly gives the ball away before going in hard on his men, leaving the referee to blow for a foul.
Alves has the ball in space on the right flank and he seeks out the run of Jesus with a ball over the top. The PSG man overhits his pass, though, allowing the ball to run through gratefully to Lampe.
Brazil are just starting to gain a foothold in the opening moments as they move the ball about comfortably in midfield. Things are a little once-paced thus far as the visitors get used to conditions up in the mountains.
Jesus is playing right on the last man and it almost causes real problems for the home side. Augusto picks up space just in front of the box and looks for the through-ball, although Gutierrez intercepts when things look dangerous.
You already get the feeling that Brazil will need to be clever when in possession if they want to break this Bolivia side down. Given the conditions, the away side will likely look to work the ball through as opposed to playing at too much pace.
An early offering of quality from the visitors as Coutinho picks out Neymar on the flank. With two touches the forward brings the ball down and sends an early delivery towards the back-post, where Jesus breaks free to cut a pass back across the face of goal. Thankfully for Bolivia, the hosts have defenders back to clear the danger with Coutinho looking to follow up.
Tite is already barking instructions from the bench as he seeks to whip his side into shape. The away side have enjoyed most of the ball so far and are starting to looking more inventive with every passing minute.
Almost for Bolivia... The hosts win a cheap corner following a poor clearance, leaving Ronald Raldes to climb highest at the back-post and send his header back into the danger area. Two Bolivians make a dash for it, but somehow both miss and Brazil scramble the ball clear.
Neymar and Paulino go for the one-two on the edge of the box as the former aims to break beyond the last man, but Valverde is having none of it as he stands firm to make the interception inside the area.
Clever stuff from the home side nearly catches Brazil sleeping at the back. A quick corner is laid off to Cristhian Machado on the edge of the box, leaving his first-time effort unchallenged to go flying over the crossbar without troubling Alisson.
Some impressive close control from Jesus sees the youngster win a smart free kick, which is taken quickly. The ball is slotted into the youngster's path again down the right flank. With few options ahead of him, Jesus takes aim from distance before lashing wide of the target.
Brazil are just about showing enough interest going forward after a rather tepid start. Bolivia are defending with solid banks at the moment and are making the visitors work for everything in the final third.
What happened there? A corner is whipped into the middle where centre-back Miranda is left totally unmarked. The defender rises to meet the ball, but gets his jump all wrong and the chance passes straight over his head. He should have at least hit the target there.
SUBSTITUTION: Thiago Silva finds himself in a spot of bother at the back through injury and he is replaced by Marquinhos in defence. It came from a stretch rather than a challenge and it looks to be some sort of strain for the PSG centre-back.
SAVE! Brazil should be ahead... A long ball is hoofed forward where two Bolivian defenders fail to clear. Neymar nips in to steal possession and break through clear on goal. The frontman has just Lampe to beat, but he fires his effort straight at the home stopper.
Bolivia pump numbers forward in a late foray up the pitch. Possession is moved to Diego Bejarano, although his shot from range flies wide without testing Alisson. The story of this game, really!
CHANCE! Another huge chance for Brazil to take the lead. The move comes from nowhere really, as Bolivia step off the gas and allow Paulinho into space. The ball is threaded through quite simply into the path of Jesus inside the box. The frontman loses his marker and should finished beyond Lampe. Somehow the keeper gets something on it to prevent an almost-certain goal. Replays show that it's a save with his face of all places.
CHANCE! What is going on... Neymar again breaks clear of the defence and is initially held up by Lampe. The forward gathers the ball at the second attempt with the keeper still on the deck, but his lashed finish is then superbly headed off the line. Fantastic defending from Valverde.
Two minutes of additional time...
HALF TIME: BOLIVIA 0-0 BRAZIL
The referee calls time on an entertaining half of football in Bolivia, in which Brazil arguably deserve to be ahead. The visitors have hardly been at their fluent best although they have created two or three clear-cut chances and should be in front.
The altitude has clearly impacted proceedings and Tite's men are getting a tough workout here. The Brazilians have looked dangerous in and around the home side's box. Most of their chances have come from short exchanges when Bolivia have fallen asleep at the back. Neymar has been rather wasteful - he should have two goals already in this contest.
Will we see any changes at the break? That might be unlikely given that Brazil do not have too much to play for other than testing out a few more options. We'll likely see some changes with around 20 minutes remaining.
SECOND HALF! Bolivia get the game moving again, let's hope for some goals in this second half...
POST! Immediate action in the second period as a ball is lofted into the middle of the box for Jesus. The youngster produces a smart flick-on towards the back-post, only to see his shot beat the keeper but come back off the woodwork.
Tite's charges have settled back into things nicely and are working the ball in neat triangles across the middle, probably to conserve some energy.
Coutinho finds space on the edge of the Bolivian box and almost carves out room to find the run of Neymar. Raldes reads the game well, however, and gets across to thwart the danger.
CLOSE! Almost some brilliance from Brazil. Paulinho produces the most efficient of defensive tackles on the edge of his own box, before looking up to find an inch-perfect long ball for the run of Neymar beyond the defence. The frontman tries to lob the keeper, but doesn't quite get enough on his shot to get the better of Lampe who saves.
Neymar has all the pace to beat the full-back and get into the box, although instead of picking out a man in the middle, his lashed delivery clears everybody in range and goes out for a Bolivian throw-in.
SUBSTITUTION: Time for a home change as Gilbert Alvarez replaces Eduardo Fierro...
CHANCE! The game has slowed to a slight crawl, but Brazil get yet another chance and it comes via Neymar again. The forward meets a cross inside the area, only to see his effort kept our cleverly by a division Lampe.
SUBSTITUTION: Willian is introduced at the expense of Philippe Coutinho, who looks to have taken a knock.
YELLOW CARD! Neymar is doing his best to change the course of the game, and he almost does with another mesmerising run before being upended by Valverde, who sees yellow for his challenge right on the edge of the box.
Hmm... Neymar has the chance to test the keeper from a great position on the edge of the area, but he sends his free kick ballooning up over the wall and the goal as the chance passes him by.
Willian gets involved going forward for the first time since his introduction. The Chelsea winger has the beating of his marker, although his eventual ball into the box is poor and Lampe can come out and gather.
SAVE! Again Brazil prod for the vital goal and it almost comes courtesy of the substitute Willian. The winger finds room inside the right channel of the box and is able to get a shot away, although Lampe is equal to it down at his near post.
SUBSTITUTE: Tite makes a late change as Fernandinho comes on to replace Paulinho in midfield.
SAVE! Somebody give Lampe a pat on the back - he has been simple outstanding here tonight. Jesus climbs highest inside the area and looks certain to score, but somehow the Bolivian stopper pulls off a standout reaction save to deny the Manchester City striker.
CHANCE! Jesus should score and I have no idea how he doesn't. The striker is primed to flick the ball unmarked past Lampe, but his header is fluffed and goes wide of the post.
We are into injury time now as keeper Lampe receives some treatment for what looks to be a stubbed toe - we've all been there!
