Wednesday's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup: Dean Henderson, Jadon Sancho, Sergio Romero

Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Manchester United on Wednesday, November 18.

A frustrating summer transfer window has now closed with Manchester United having missed out on a number of their top targets, including Jadon Sancho.

The Red Devils were busy on deadline day, though, bringing in Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles and Facundo Pellistri, in addition to agreeing a deal to sign Amad Traore in January. Attention will now switch to other business they may do when the window reopens in the winter.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Old Trafford.

Wednesday morning's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup:

Dean Henderson to leave Manchester United in January?

Dean Henderson is reportedly hopeful of being granted a loan move away from Manchester United in the January transfer window.

The 23-year-old has found playing time limited since returning to Old Trafford in the summer following a successful two-year stint with Sheffield United.

Henderson has been restricted to just three appearances this term, each coming in cup competitions, with David de Gea still preferred in goal by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

According to 90min, Henderson has been informed by Gareth Southgate that he needs to be playing more regularly if he is to become first choice for England.

It is claimed that United are prepared to sanction a loan exit and the goalkeeper's representatives are on the lookout for interested clubs in the Premier League.

Aston Villa were eager to sign Henderson in the summer but instead turned to Emiliano Martinez.

Manchester United to return for Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho in 2021?

Manchester United have reportedly not ruled out reaching an agreement with Borussia Dortmund over attacker Jadon Sancho early in 2021.

The Red Devils missed out on the England international during the most recent transfer window following a summer-long pursuit.

United were reluctant to match Dortmund's £100m asking price, but 90min claims that the move is not yet dead as a fresh approach may be made in January.

The report suggests that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made clear that he still needs a new right-sided attacker and he hopes to be backed by executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.

However, United are said to have accepted that Dortmund will not let the 20-year-old leave halfway through the season and are happy to wait until next summer to complete the signing.

Sancho's scoring and assists figures have dropped in the early stages of 2020-21 compared to last season, managing three and two respectively in 10 appearances.
