Borussia Dortmund are reportedly looking to offload Manuel Akanji this summer, with the club offering Arsenal the chance to sign the Switzerland international.

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly offered Switzerland international Manuel Akanji to Arsenal.

The defender has spent the last four years in Germany since arriving from Basel, but his time at Dortmund could be drawing to a close.

Niklas Sule and Nico Schlotterbeck have already joined the German club this summer, with their arrivals set to result in Akanji's departure.

According to Football London, Dortmund have offered Arsenal the chance to sign Akanji, with the Swiss defender keen on a move to the Premier League.

The report states that the Bundesliga side are looking to receive £21m for the centre-back, but the asking price could drop with Akanji entering the final year of his current contract.

Arsenal are said to have doubts over a possible deal as they look to prioritise a left-footed centre-back in the transfer window.

William Saliba is expected to return to North London following a loan spell at Marseille, and he will join Ben White and Rob Holding as Arsenal's right-footed central defenders, which could put Arsenal off signing the Dortmund player.
