Former Arsenal defender Tony Adams in talks to manage Brondby

Arsenal legend Tony Adams says that he has been speaking to Danish side Brondby over their vacant managerial position.

Tony Adams has said that he is interested in the vacant managerial position at Danish club Brondby.

The former Arsenal captain has previously had spells at Wycombe Wanderers, Portsmouth and Azerbaijani outfit Gabala FC, but it now appears that the ex-England international is in the running to return to the dugout at Brondby after holding talks with chairman Jan Bech Andersen.

The 49-year-old told Danish newspaper BT: "He is a great guy and I really like him and his vision for the club.

"Brondby is a fantastic football club, probably the biggest and best in Denmark. So of course I'm interested in the coaching job. We talk regularly. Whether that leads to a coaching job or just a great friendship I don't know.

"I don't hide that I am now looking for a management job somewhere in Europe. I'm interested, for sure. Now we'll have to see what happens. I have met with other clubs as well, and I'm sure [Andersen] is also talking to others."

Brondby currently sit in fifth place in the Danish top flight.
