Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Crystal Palace

Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Premier League encounter with Crystal Palace.

Arsenal will aim to record back-to-back London derby victories next Wednesday when they travel to Selhurst Park for a Premier League battle with Crystal Palace.

The Gunners took the spoils in a hard-fought 1-0 win over Chelsea in midweek, as Emile Smith Rowe was on hand to tap home following a horror mistake by Jorginho.

Arsenal are mathematically still in with a chance of breaking into the top seven and now sit just one point behind Tottenham Hotspur - who have a game in hand - but Everton moved above the ninth-placed Gunners with a goalless stalemate against Aston Villa in midweek.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their meeting with Palace.

Hector Bellerin

Status: Out
Type of injury: Leg
Possible return date: May 23 (vs. Brighton & Hove Albion)

Hector Bellerin tweaked a muscle in his leg while stretching to make a clearance against Chelsea, but he will hope to return for the final game of the season against Brighton & Hove Albion.

David Luiz

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: May 23 (vs. Brighton)

David Luiz has been out of action since sustaining a hamstring injury in the win over Newcastle United earlier this month, and Mikel Arteta ruled him out of a return to Stamford Bridge. The defender is making "very good" progress in his recovery, though, but he does not have a chance of turning out against Palace.

Granit Xhaka

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: May 19 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Granit Xhaka has not played since sustaining a groin injury in the warm-up before the Europa League semi-final second leg with Villarreal, but Arteta will hope to have him available on Wednesday.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no players suspended for this match.
