Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger warns his side not to underestimate Basel when the two teams meet on matchday two of the Champions League group stages.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has warned his side that they cannot afford to underestimate Basel when the two teams meet in the Champions League on Wednesday.

All four teams in Group A are level on points after one match of this season's competition, with the Gunners holding Paris Saint-Germain to a 1-1 draw and Basel sharing the points with Ludogorets on matchday one.

Arsenal welcome the runaway Swiss Super League leaders to the Emirates this week, but Wenger is wary of their recent track record against English teams in Europe.

"They have beaten everybody in England - Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool. They have strong results in Europe," he told reporters.

Arsenal will be without Francis Coquelin for the match after the midfielder was ruled out for up to three weeks.
