Roman Kemp is forced to pull out of Soccer Aid after catching coronavirus, sparking fears that the match itself could be cancelled.

Tomorrow's Soccer Aid match is reportedly "in doubt" after Roman Kemp tested positive for coronavirus on Thursday.

The 28-year-old DJ, who was due to represent the 'Rest of the World' team in the charity game, attended the GQ Awards in London on Wednesday night then travelled to Manchester to link up with teammates for training on Thursday.

Kemp was in close contact with other celebs including Yungblud, Mark Wright and Paddy McGuinness before testing positive for COVID-19.

According to The Sun, Kemp was immediately segregated from the rest of the group but there are fears that other stars could now have the disease.

"Roman is absolutely gutted he has been forced to pull out of the game," a source told the newspaper. "He is feeling alright and luckily does not have any bad symptoms.

"It is worrying for everyone involved in Soccer Aid however as Roman was training with a lot of the players yesterday and has been in close contact with so many people.

"Keeping the teams and those working on Soccer Aid COVID-safe is the organisers' top priority.

"Everyone in contact with Roman is going to be tested and extra measures are being put in place to stop any further spread."

The Soccer Aid match, which will also feature Wayne Rooney, Gary Neville, Paul Scholes and Rivaldo, airs on ITV from 6.30pm on Saturday night.
