Anton Du Beke will reportedly be offered a pay rise to remain on Strictly Come Dancing as part of the professional lineup in 2022.

The BBC is reportedly hoping to keep Anton Du Beke on Strictly Come Dancing next year by offering him a pay rise.

The 55-year-old has been part of the show since it began in 2004, featuring as part of the professional dance lineup until this year, when he stepped up to the judging panel to replace Bruno Tonioli.

Tonioli is expected to return in 2022, however, meaning that Du Beke is likely to lose his judging spot - although The Sun says that he will be offered improved terms to return as a pro dancer.

"The last thing bosses want is to lose him if they do welcome Bruno back," a source told the newspaper.

"They appreciate it'll be hard for him to go back to the day job. So they're keen to offer a sweetener."

This year's Strictly came to a conclusion on Saturday night with actress Rose Ayling-Ellis being crowned the show's first ever deaf winner.
